Rob standing by his co-stars for negotiations?

Posted in Breaking Dawn with tags , , , , on December 4, 2009 by chasingcullens

Much as the success of the “Harry Potter” film franchise turned the once-unknown Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint into internationally famous and extremely wealthy movie stars, a similar route to lifelong financial security is clearly in the cards for “Twilight”/”New Moon” stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

As the trio approaches negotiations for what may be two films based on the Breaking Dawn novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s vampire saga, word has it Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner are joining forces to negotiate as a team. The story is reminiscent of the approach taken by “Friends” stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc — who famously stuck together for all of their contract negotiations in that hit TV series’ long run.

Though nothing is yet on paper, there is word the huge box-office hauls of both “Twilight” and “New Moon” — and the likely success of “Eclipse,” already shot and due in June — has the three actors likely to be able to demand paychecks well into eight figures for the next two films.(Gozde: I hope this is true I always thought it showed the true character and friendship of the Friends’ actors. Some were more famous than the others but they always stuck together and got what they wanted. Power to the people! :))

• By the way, a good source close to Pattinson and Lautner tells me the two young actors are “very amused” by all the stories flying around the blogosphere about an alleged big “feud” between the co-stars. While the two men couldn’t be more different in real life, the Summit Entertainment insider says their relationship is truly a case of “opposites attract” and the two actors actually are extremely good friends. (Gozde: On another note if Rob makes 8 figures we’ll remind him of his promise to “walk around naked :))

New Moon is bigger than huge! Crosses 200million!

In its eighth day of release, Summit Entertainment’s “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” crossed the double-century mark making an estimated $206.1 million.

The domestic B.O. for “New Moon” easily eclipsed that of the first “Twilight” which amassed $192.8 million in 20 weeks.

In the first three days of the holiday frame beginning Wednesday, “New Moon” has grossed $41.4 million.

The record holder for the best Thanksgiving frame haul still belongs to the first “Harry Potter” which made $82.4 million from Wednesday through Sunday.

Suits gives Robsten their blessing!

Posted in Gossips with tags , , on November 19, 2009 by chasingcullens
The fact that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart didn’t pose together on the New Moon premiere red carpet—and didn’t hang much at the afterparty—rubbed many Twilight fans the wrong way.
Is big bad Summit putting the kibosh on Robsten? (Again?)
We all know how many suits felt when Rob and Kristen were first getting their flirt on, but from what we’ve been told, they couldn’t care less now.
So what gives? We chatted with New Moon and Twilight producer Bill Bannerman to get the business perspective, and also one of Rob and Kristen’s costars…
Is it risky if your two lead actors start dating? Don’t want to name names, of course, but if Rob and Kristen were getting serious, is it something that would concern you?
Bill: “No, no. I mean they’re pros. They’ve been through it before; they didn’t start yesterday working as actors. They know what’s entailed of them and what the demands are for them. So they walk into it and know we have 10 or 12 very intense weeks of work to do, let’s focus on the task at hand and make sure that, what we’re doing not only we’ll be happy with, but the fans will be happy with.”
Ah, so looks like the money-backers have no worries about our dear Rob and Kristen dating. And from the sound of things, everyone knows they so are (duh). So what do their costars who have a lot invested, career-wise, in making all these flicks think?
Michael Welch, who told us he plans to “ride this franchise out as much as possible,” weighs in:
“I think it’s to each his own! Things work differently for different people. I don’t really have any blanket rules about who you should date and who you shouldn’t date. If they can make it work, go for it!”
Can’t wait to see what happens after Rob and Kristen’s whirlwind week, you? Rumor has it that Rob will be coming back to L.A. when the cast finishes up their domestic press tour.
Wonder why?

Breaking Dawn rumour shot down!

Twilight fans will be disappointed to learn that there will NOT be a fifth movie in the Twilight series.  Yet.  Sources tell that “It is absolutely not true,” that the fourth book Breaking Dawn will be split into two movies, denying fans another chance to see their beloved Edward on the big screen.

The newest addition to the Twilight family, Boo Boo Stewart, told Access Hollywood that he was signed on for three more movies (if you’re counting that means Eclipse, Breaking Dawn and an unnamed third) but our source insists that this is not the case…AT THIS POINT! So we’re going to hold our vampire breath, hopefully not for long, and keep our fingers crossed that the Breaking Dawn screenplay turns into two vampire movies.

We think there is one couple that would like to have their time together continued.  RPattz and KStew are enjoying time together when not filming, as they were caught smooching at the Kings of Leon concert in Vancouver on Sunday.

The rest of the cast are spending free time in Vancouver doing what everyone else does in their downtime, shopping and working out. At least fans only have to wait until November 20 to see the second movie in the Twilight Saga: New Moon when it hits theaters.

A new report suggests that Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final book in the The Twilight Saga, will indeed be made a film by studio Summit Entertainment

“The fans should rest assured the we’re working with Stephanie Meyer to bring Breaking Dawn to the big screen,” a Summit representative told E! Online.

“As in all creative processes, things take time. We want to make sure we get it right.”

The “right” summit is referring to could very well be the adult material contained in the final novel.

WIthout spoiling, the last installment contains sex, a birth scene, violence and fatalities, not precisely the kind of fare a young audience like Twilight Saga‘s are predisposed to.

As long as they keep the RPattz and Taylor Lautner shirtlessness in, we’re there.
