Kellan Lutz Says Boys Will Be Dragging Their Girlfriends To 'Eclipse'

Not only is Kellan Lutz insanely hot, he also knows how to give good gossip, especially when it comes to the World’s Most Important Movie: Eclipse.

Kellan dished to the Los Angeles Times about the upcoming Eclipse movie and swears that this film will be for the boy Twihards. Hey, they exist!

From the Los Angeles Times (via Showbiz Spy):

The guys are going to bring their girlfriends to this one, mark my words […] There’s a lot of fighting, a lot of cool stunts. It’s a little darker. The stuff I’ve seen so far is amazing. Amazing. The music is great. Everything is just really captivating. I’m excited to see it, and I’m excited for the fans to see it.

So, fair warning gals: you’re boyfriends will no doubt be dragging you to see Eclipse. It’s the Iron Man 2 of vampires.

Kellan also talks about how happy he was to see the finished film since he had done a lot of acting with “cardboard cut-outs” who were turned into creatures during post-production.

Samuel Bayer’s A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 remake: Kellan Lutz of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, ; Katie Cassidy, Thomas Dekker, Rooney Mara ; Kyle Gallner

Apparently, poor word of mouth spread faster than even Freddy Krueger expected. A Nightmare on Elm Street, which seemed poised for a $40 million weekend in North America, ended up with a more modest (though still impressive) $32.2m ($9,665 per theater) according to studio estimates found at Box Office Mojo.

Stars Of Eclipse In Other Upcoming Releases

Posted in Movies with tags , on April 26, 2010 by chasingcullens

This week has been rich with with breaking news about “Eclipse”—from the new trailer, to the launch of the official web site, to the release date of the soundtrack. But, the fact is, the film isn’t due out for another two months. What’s a Twi-hard to do in the meantime?

As it turns out, “Eclipse” isn’t the only movie coming out this summer. With so many other Twilight cast releases, it should be easy for you to get your fix. As you while away your time waiting for June 30th, here are some upcoming spring and summer Twilight cast film releases to get excited about now:

“A Nightmare on Elm Street” – Kellan Lutz – Release date: April 30, 2010. Some fans have scoffed at Kellan’s upcoming appearance in “A Nightmare on Elm Street” saying the remake is a large step down from “Twilight”. While it’s true that the sixth film in any franchise is rarely the best, Kellan will be joining the ranks of distinguished Freddie Krueger alumni including Johnny Depp, Laurence Fishburne, and Patricia Arquette.

“The Last Airbender” – Jackson Rathbone – Release date: July 2, 2010.
So this one technically doesn’t come out until after “Eclipse” but now’s the time to start getting stoked. This much-anticipated animated-TV-show-turned-action flick features Jackson as Sokka, a teenage water tribe warrior. The film is about the vanishing of the peacemaker who keeps the lords of the four elements in harmony, and his successor who must step in to restore balance.

“Chain Letter” – Nikki Reed – Release date: August, 2010. The tagline for the movie gets right to the point: “if you don’t forward it, you die”. Nikki Reed will lead the cast in what appears to be a classically designed horror flick: sinister force + helpless teenagers = characters dropping like flies.

In case you haven’t noticed, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse star Kellan Lutz (“Emmett Cullen”) seems pretty game for any kind of film role.

He claimed to be versatile and eager to portray the vast range of potential characters in his latest interview with Interview Magazine, and today’s news indicates he’s gonna get his shot at being in an action film.

Zap2it reports that Kellan Lutz is working on a deal where’d he play a kidnapping victim forced to participate in, well, deathgames. Appropriately, then, the film is to be entitled Deathgames, and the movie will be shot in Louisiana (where his picture Love, Wedding, Marriage is also being shot starting next week) shortly after he finishes his next film.

Is Lutz lining himself up to be a Renaissance Man actor? It sure seems that way!

has been featured in some sexy shoots for Interview magazine. In a couple of pictures, the actor is seen taking off his shirt and getting wet. While his poses which expose his abdomen muscles will tease ladies, he claims he is not sexy.

“It’s funny when people say you have sex appeal or call you the next . I just laugh,” he says in an interview with the magazine. “I’m not that. I don’t want to be that. ‘You’re a sex icon.’ Why? Because I played a vampire in a movie [‘‘]? It’s all very unearned.”

“If I had the best freaking abs in the world or if I looked like Brad Pitt does in ‘Fight Club’ [1999], then cool, but I’m not starving myself. I eat what I want, and I’m not a workout fiend. My genetics are good, but they aren’t crazy He-Man style. I don’t get it, but I appreciate it. [laughs]”

“It just blows my mind how many people think that because I was a model, I think I’m pretty and that I can use my looks to get ahead,” Kellan further shares, before insisting. “I’m not pretty!”
