Anna Kendrick’s Big Smile

Posted in Movies with tags on April 7, 2010 by chasingcullens

Anna Kendrick smiled big yesterday when she arrived at the airport in Vancouver to get back to work on Seth Rogen’s cancer comedy alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Anna had to take a break from filming in order to promote Up in the Air with a stop in Japan, which her costar George Clooney skipped out of to keep filming The Descendants in Hawaii. The traveling won’t slow down for Anna in the run-up to Eclipse‘s June 30 release, and she has another film hitting the big screen this Summer. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World will be out in August — make sure to check out the trailer. Anna’s had a huge 12 months including her first Oscar nomination, but so far it’s not enough to secure her a win in the first round of the PopSugar 100 — she’s currently trailing Meryl Streep by a few hundred votes!

Anna Kendrick In Tokyo

Anna Kendrick was belted and in blue this morning as she smiled for photographers at a press conference for Up in the Air in Tokyo. Her film is out on DVD in the states already, but it’s due to hit theaters in Japan on March 20. The last few months of award season were busy for Anna, and things haven’t slowed down for her or her costars since the Oscars. George Clooney headed right off to work on The Descendants in Hawaii, while Anna made a quick trip to Vancouver. She’s soon to be back in front of the cameras herself when she joins Seth Rogen in his latest comedy, and then it’s back on the promotional trail before Eclipse is out in June.

Anna Kendrick is Lacy Back Lovely

Anna Kendrick shows off her lacy back as she arrives at the 2010 Vanity Fair Oscar Party hosted by Graydon Carter held at Sunset Tower in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (March 7).

The 24-year-old Oscar nominated actress chose to change up her red carpet look with a cute Elie Saab white cocktail dress with lace neck, chiffon bodice with mousseline rosette applique and feather detail at skirt from the Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 Haute Couture collection.

Anna took the stage earlier in the evening with friend Zac Efron and presented Best Sound Editing and Sound Mixing.

More Of Vanity Fair’s Oscar Bash

Kristen Stewart, meanwhile, chatted away alongside Anjelica Huston, as Inglourious Basterds‘ Eli Roth cuddled up to his apparently new lady, Peaches Geldof. Rachel McAdams’ ex Josh Lucas gave some bunny ears to Sam Worthington and Carey Mulligan, while happy couples like Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens and Russell Brand and Katy Perry only had eyes for each other. Natalie Portman stopped to say hi to her Black Swan costar Mila Kunis’ boyfriend Macaulay Culkin, following his touching tribute to John Hughes. Lovely ladies like Kate Beckinsale and Anna Kendrick kept the fashionable times going, as the VF bash got a long night of partying in LA under way.

Stars Not In Favour Of 3D Breaking Dawn

Anna Kendrick isn’t sure she’d like to see the next installment of the “Twilight Saga” in 3-D. Not only does she have reservations about tackling “Breaking Dawn” in three dimensions, but she isn’t really sure she’s down with 3-D at all, for that matter.

“I’m still undecided about 3-D, personally,” the Oscar nominee told MTV News on the red carpet at the Academy Awards on Sunday (March 7). “But obviously they don’t consult me personally on whether or not ‘Breaking Dawn’ is going to be in 3-D.”

While she joked that it’s in her contract that she be involved in those kinds of decisions, Kendrick, who also shared that she thought the “Eclipse” trailer is going to be “beautiful,” is the latest castmember to be anti 3-D for “Breaking Dawn.”

Kellan Lutz isn’t a big fan of 3-D movies, either. “3-D kind of hurts my eyes anyways. ‘Avatar’ was amazing in 3-D and in IMAX, but I don’t think I wanna see a little baby half-vampire in 3-D,” he said, echoing a similar sentiment made by Kristen Stewart. “There’s just some scenes I just wouldn’t want to see in 3-D.”

Robert Pattinson admitted he felt the same way about the possibility. “The 3-D thing confuses me,” Pattinson said. “I haven’t seen ‘Avatar’ or any of these 3-D movie things yet. The idea of it … I remember 3-D movies from when I was a kid, and I can just picture it giving me a headache.”

Eclipse Trailer Will Be Beautiful According To Anna Kendrick

Posted in Eclipse with tags , on March 9, 2010 by chasingcullens

“Twilight” star Robert Pattinson has seen the “Eclipse” trailer set to premiere during his flick “Remember Me,” out in theaters Friday. And Kellan Lutz promised that the flick itself will be very “badass.” But it seems like Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick has yet to be treated to the trailer for the flick.

At the very least, she knows that it will look “beautiful,” based on the work cinematographer Javier Aguirresarobe did on “New Moon.” “I haven’t actually [seen the trailer yet],” Kendrick told MTV News on the Oscars red carpet on Sunday. “I trust that it will look very beautiful. It’s the same cinematographer as last time, so at least we know it will look beautiful.”

Last month, when MTV News caught up with Kristen Stewart at the red-carpet premiere for “The Yellow Handkerchief,” she had a few scenes she wanted to see make the final cut for the “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” trailer. “Oh my gosh! There’s a really cool thing that happens on a cliff with Jacob that should definitely be in there,” she said. “Battle stuff. I would say the [newborn vampires]. The newborns are going to look awesome.”

Late last year, at the New York premiere of “New Moon,” Stewart said she was really excited for fans to get a chance to see the love triangle between Jacob, Bella and Edward intensify in this next film. “I’m looking forward to seeing the love triangle actually becoming a problem,” she said. “We sort of innocently touch on it in ‘New Moon,’ but it actually becomes something that is very, very real.”
