has, in an interview with Seventeen, revealed some fun facts about himself. Among the topics he talks with the magazine is his first kiss, about which he recalled, “I was young, actually, maybe like third or fourth grade. It was during Truth or Dare between one of my guy friends and two of our girlfriends. The girls would put their lip balm on – I was obsessed with it! The flavors were chocolate, caramel, and strawberry.”

The Emmett Cullen of ““, moreover, also opened up about his worst habit. “Betting. I bet on everything,” he admitted. “I’ve never really bought scratch cards or quick picks. It’s just like, ‘I bet you I can spin my chair longer.’ I love to win. I don’t get mad when I don’t win, but I don’t think it’s fun.”

Despite his sky-rocketing acting career, Kellan said “I want to fly a jet,” when Seventeen questioned him about his dream job. “I’d love to just be in the air and go mach 3 or mach 4. Or, I’d be an underwater salvager. I’ve always been fascinated with the Bermuda Triangle and Atlantis. I love chemistry, also. That’s why acting is so random for me!” he gushed.

Becoming famous after starring in “Twilight”, Kellan Lutz used to be an Abercrombie & Fitch model. He will reprise his role as Emmett Cullen in “” and ““. Both films are slated to be released in U.S. theaters on November 20 later this year and June 30, 2010 respectively.

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner headed into a studio in LA today to work on some finishing touches for Eclipse. All the filming up in Vancouver is finished, perhaps for good amid rumor that production on Breaking Dawn may happen back in Oregon. Taylor arrived back in California last weekend and was spotted out on a few dates with Taylor Swift, and most of you are loving the new couple. Kristen, on the other hand, landed at LAX with Robert Pattinson yesterday, and you can catch the whole cast tonight on MTV’s New Moon special.

CGI Makes Wolfpack Awesome

Posted in New Moon, Wolf Pack with tags , , , on October 31, 2009 by chasingcullens

“New Moon is going to be stepped up a whole nother notch,” confidently states star Taylor Lautner.  It goes without saying that the werewolves have some great scenes in New Moon and in the latest video to leak from Summit, fans get a behind the scenes look at what went into making the wolf pack sizzle.  It is easy to watch the trailer and get caught up in the story, but does anyone stop to think about the work that goes into bringing the werewolves to life?

Director Chris Weitz had a tough task on hand when he signed onto New Moon; how was he going to realistically bring to life the werewolf pack?  In the latest video interview, Weitz says, “We introduced the world of the werewolves which is also the world of some amazing CGI stuff.”  Before New Moon, CGI was on Center Stage with the success of Brad Pitt‘s The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, the technology allowing Pitt’s character to age eighty plus years and then backward through time.

Computer-generated imagery (CGI) was first used in 1973’s Westworld but it wasn’t until Star Wars in 1977 that fans became enthralled with the application of the field of computer graphics.  Since then, CGI has allowed movie directors to dream outside the realm of physical possibilities.  In the case of New Moon, CGI has allowed a tale to come alive on the silver screen for all to enjoy.

In the all new wolf pack video Taylor Lautner, Alex Meraz, Chris Weitz, Chaske Spencer, Kristen Stewart, along with the wolf animators, talk about bring the werewolves to life and the tight knit bond they share.  All the werewolves are transforming in the new video and it is amazing to see how lifelike the wolf pack really are.  Major props to Phil Tipper, Visual Effects Supervisor, and Tom Gibbons, Animation Supervisor.

Rachelle Lefevre Speculations

Posted in Eclipse, New Moon with tags , on October 31, 2009 by chasingcullens

There’s been a lot of speculation has to whether actress Rachelle Lefevre would attend the premiere of Summit Entertainment’s “Twilight: New Moon”. If you remember, she played vampire villain Victoria in the original “Twilight” as well as in the second installment, however, due to schedule conflicts, she was replaced with Bryce Dallas Howard for the third installment titled “Twilight: Eclipse”. According to reports, the actress wouldn’t miss the premiere for the world. She worked so hard on the film and she’s excited to re-unite with her cast-mates. Personally, I thought Lefevre was great as Victoria and very convincing. I think Bryce Dallas Howard was the better known star and producers now-a-days do anything they can to gain publicity.

Kellan Lutz Interview

Posted in Eclipse, New Moon, twilight with tags , on October 31, 2009 by chasingcullens

Vanity Fair has just posted a great little interview with Twilight Saga film star Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen, where he talks about book trading and recommendations among the cast on set, how much the cast ‘leans’ on one another and what they do to rev themselves up before a scene, what he thinks of New Moon the film (he’s seen it!), and much more. Check it all out below:

What’s the one thing that has changed in your life since Twilight came out?I’ve never been so busy in my life. I’ve never gotten my frequent flyer miles so high that I feel like I can travel around the world for free. I’ve been on a plane every weekend trying to come back to L.A. to see my dog. I feel like I’ve been so blessed to be working, but everything I shoot is out of L.A., so I don’t really have too much time to spend with my number one love: my puppy. (She’s not really a puppy—she’s five—but she’s close to my heart.) We have so much press stuff that we get to do—I love doing the conventions and meeting the fans. November’s going to be pretty crazy, what with being on a plane every day, landing, appearances, flying to another city that night … It’s a roller coaster.

How do you guys cope with all of this?

We all have our passions that we enjoy. Rob and Jackson will bring their guitars everywhere. As long as you have that passion where you can just disappear and be normal, feel normal, bring your iPod or favorite books, and just do the things that you would do when Twilight wasn’t around—that’s all keeping us who we are. We’re all really blessed, and we’re humble and down to earth, anyway.

Do you find that as a cast you’re leaning on each other even more?

Yeah, definitely. It’s one of those things where we kind of are this family, especially going through all this. We’re all going on this insane adventure and fantasy as an actor with Twilight, and it’s nice to do it with someone. We’re all friends, which is nice, so we can all go out to dinner, have a great time, relax, play games, go out to concerts. Kings of Leon have been up here, Jason Mraz … It’s nice to disappear and do stuff together. All of our friends are back home, and we try to have our friends come up here and hang out. But realistically it’s kind of tough to do that, so it’s nice to havethe cast members to count on. That’s the great thing about this franchise—we hopefully get to look forward to making all of the books, so you never have to really say goodbye [to each other] like you do with other projects. You get to say, “See you soon,” or, “See you in L.A.” We get to pick up where we left off.

How do the Cullens rev each other up before shooting a scene?

We really have everything down. We dissect it through rehearsals before we go about it. When we’re on set, we kind of joke around, and when we’re rehearsing, we change up the scenes and make each other laugh. We lighten up the mood. The blooper reel is going to be amazing on New Moon.

Is there going to be a blooper reel?

Hopefully. They probably have more material for the blooper reel than they have movie material. (Laughs)

What scenes have been the most fun to shoot?

Well, the scenes that the Cullens are in are very crucial and epic. The scenes in New Moon are very close to the book. What we Cullens deal with—like the birthday scene—are very crucial for the audience; they’re going to be there with us. They’re all my favorites, but particularly Jackson, when he turns bloodthirsty in the birthday scene.

Have you seen New Moon yet?

Yeah, I love it. Chris Weitz did an amazing job, and I love the werewolves. There’s so much action, and I’m an action junkie, so the wolves really do a great job. Taylor [Lautner] is amazing. He’s a movie star. Fans are going to see this over and over again because of what he brings to the movie.
